JB60T is a 60-channel BNC junction box — a patch panel for accelerometer and microphone arrays. Channels are numbered 5 rows of of 12 and marked beside every connector, so the map between sensor, panel and analyser channel stays readable while a test is being dressed.
At 60 channels a chassis build is worth considering: a hinged, lockable lid with a support stay, the panel divided into zones with one cable gland per zone, port numbering on both faces of the cover, and an optional wheeled castor stand. Below roughly 32 channels zoning adds hardware without adding clarity; above it, dressing and tracing a bundle without zones costs more time than the hardware costs money.
Electrical performance
Flatness is the specification that defines this product: ±0.1 dB from 10 Hz to 20 kHz, the band that vibration and acoustic measurement actually occupies. Contact resistance is ≤ 5 mΩ and insulation resistance ≥ 1000 MΩ.
Total harmonic distortion and noise floor are also measured and reported, and it is worth being precise about what those figures mean. A junction box is a passive assembly of connectors and coaxial cable with no active device in it, so a THD or noise-floor measurement characterises the test system at least as much as the box. The result is a null one — the assembly adds no distortion or noise above the analyser’s own floor — and that is what the delivered test report demonstrates.
Test report
Every unit ships with a test report generated on a calibrated analyser, covering THD, noise floor and frequency response in both dBV and percent, across a minimum of 10% of connectors or eight channels, whichever is higher, with worst-case values reported.
Configuration
Cover type, mounting, gland count and size, connector make, panel marking and test-report scope are all configurable. Connectors are supplied from an approved list — Amphenol, Neutrik, TE Connectivity or Fairview Microwave — with the make and part number stated in the offer and in the as-built documentation. See the full family comparison for how the configurations differ across channel counts.
