What this site collects, and why.
Written to be checked rather than admired. Everything below describes what the software actually does; where it says "we do not", that is a statement about the code, not a promise about intent.

Who we are

Visiting the site
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read and how
people arrive. It sets first-party cookies in your browser — _ga and
_ga_<property> — which let it tell a returning visit from a new
one. Through it we receive the pages you viewed, roughly where you are (derived
from your IP address, not stored by us as an address), your device and browser,
and which site or search sent you.
Two deliberate limits. Google signals is switched off, so this data is not joined to your Google account or used for advertising anywhere: TIERA sells instruments to named engineering buyers and runs no remarketing. And analytics data is kept for 14 months, after which Google deletes it.
The tag only runs on tieraonline.in itself. Our staging and preview
hosts serve the same pages and deliberately do not report.
We do not run advertising trackers, social-media pixels, or any third-party script beyond what is named on this page.
When you write to us
The contact form, the store enquiry form and the newsletter box all send what you typed to our own server, which emails it to the TIERA team and sends you an acknowledgement. Specifically:
- Contact form — your name, email address, subject, message, and which page you sent it from.
- Store enquiry — your name, email address, phone number, message and the items in your enquiry.
- Newsletter — your email address.
- Where a form asks you to accept our terms of sale, we record which version you accepted.
Those messages live in TIERA's email and in whatever sales record follows from them. We keep them as long as the enquiry is commercially relevant, and we do not sell, rent or share them. Our server briefly holds the IP address a submission came from — only to stop one sender flooding the form — and discards it within minutes.
Things that stay in your browser
The store's kit builder saves the list you are assembling in your own browser's local storage so it survives a reload. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it.
Other TIERA services, and other people's
Some links take you somewhere with its own privacy terms: the TIA assistant is a
window onto tia.tieraonline.in, demo booking runs on
meet.tieraonline.in, courses are delivered on our learning platform, and
the WhatsApp and telephone links hand you to WhatsApp and to your phone. This notice
covers tieraonline.in itself.
Your choices
- Your browser can block or clear cookies, including ours, at any time. The site works without them.
- Browsers with a "Do Not Track" or tracking-protection setting, and Google's own opt-out add-on, will keep analytics from seeing your visit.
- Write to support@tieraonline.in to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Tell us the email address you used, so we can find it.
- Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link, and replying "unsubscribe" to any of our email works just as well.
Changes to this notice
The date at the top is the date it last changed. It is versioned in the same repository as the site, so what it said on any given day is recoverable.
