- TCAT Cat I — Foundations: data collection, basic analysis, alarms.
- TCAT Cat II — Spectrum, time-waveform, phase, advanced fault diagnosis.
- TCAT Cat III — Advanced diagnosis: resonance testing, corrective actions including balancing and alignment, and running a condition-monitoring programme.
